FLD Spring Ministry Leaders Conference

  • Door Creek Church 6602 Dominion Drive Madison, WI, 53718 United States (map)

Join us for MULTIPLY!

The more we listen to the voices and needs of ministry leaders, the more we hear a resounding desire to grow in the area of making disciples in today's culture. With that in mind, we will be diving head-first into two questions: What is our plan for making disciples & is that plan actually working? Let's take a day to focus our minds and hearts on making disciples who make more disciples!

Before you register, please read through our workshop options!

Link to registration will be located at the bottom of this page!

***If you are interested in having a table at the conference for your ministry, you will need to apply to become a FLD ministry partner. Please fill out an application here, and we will contact you!***

Stages of Discipleship - Tiffany Malloy & Daniel Owen

As we walk with God over a lifetime, we each go through different stages of faith… and so does our congregation! As leaders, it’s important that we know what these stages of faith are, where people commonly get stuck, and how we can create ministry environments that not only meet people where they’re at, but also help them to take next steps in their journey with God.

So, come join us as we talk through these different stages of faith and how we can use them to be more intentional as we lead, teach, and create opportunities + environments for spiritual growth.

Dream Disciple: Change Your Aim to Change The Game - Shane Stacey & Dave Rhodes

Most churches believe that discipleship is important. Few churches have a shared vision for what kind of disciple of Jesus their church is designed to create and why that kind of disciple is necessary in their specific local community. Stop settling for silver bullet approaches to discipleship that over-promise and underdeliver. We'll explore where we often get stuck and what unintended harm it can do to our congregation and staff. You'll see how identifying your Dream Disciple can create a clear scoreboard of success on a mission for your entire leadership team. Move mission success from inside the walls to where people live, work, and play.

Free Dream Disciple e-book is available to anyone who comes to the workshop.

Ministering With Truth & Grace to Transgender People - Brian Berg

In this workshop, we will look first at what Scripture, the Church, and what science teaches us about the truth of gender dysphoria and gender identity. Then we will explore how to minister to transgender people with great grace while standing on truth. We will wrestle together with how to address issues of names, pronouns, group life, medical interventions, etc, while seeking to live like Jesus, full of both truth and grace.

Bridging the Gap - Sam DeLoye & Andrew Gutberlet

Andrew and Sam serve together at Highland Community Church in Wausau. In 2017, they launched a young adult ministry that now has over 150 attendees each week. Join them as they share about their ministry model, how they've bridged the gap between student ministry and young adult ministry, and how the Lord has guided their small group-based model. They will finish the session 15 minutes of Q&A.

Local churches are called to be a light in their local communities. Come and explore what it could look like to create partnerships and be the hands and feet of Christ outside the walls of your church building!

Leveraging Women’s Ministries for Disciple Making Opportunities - Sarah Hayden & Debby Rowe

This interactive workshop will explore and envision how to use women’s ministries to make
disciples who make disciples. Intentionality is a key, but it is a unique process for each ministry
context. Whether your ministry is small or large, new or established, come learn a
disciple making framework, evaluate your own ministry efforts, and hear from each other, with
the goal of leveraging your ministry to further God’s Kingdom.

Navigating Loneliness in Ministry - Marc Maillefer

Leading in ministry, whether it’s working with students or leading a congregation can bring a profound sense of loneliness. Why is that? How do we navigate this gap, and how does God work in and through us for good? Join us as we explore how the Bible addresses this issue.

A highlight of many at the Forest Lakes conferences is the Affinity Network time.  This time is designed to connect ministry leaders with other in their ministry space.  It's possible that you may be feeling the loneness that ministry can bring, this time is designed for you to find others to walk alongside you!

Best practices are shared, brainstorming takes place, and most importantly, connections are made.  Our hope is that the connections made during this time will continue beyond the conference.
