Hi! I’m Laura Humphrey, the Director of Immigrant Hope. I have a degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota and a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from the University of St. Thomas. Before joining the Forest Lakes District team, I worked for over a decade in social services and 3 years in refugee resettlement—an experience that deeply shaped my heart for welcoming, helping, and serving others.
I’m so grateful to be part of a district that is passionate about reaching all people, and I’m especially excited to help grow our multicultural ministries and support churches in serving their communities the way Jesus called us to. From immigration legal assistance to multilingual Bible studies, we want to help equip our district to support people from all the ends of the Earth.

Originally from Minneapolis, I moved to Central Wisconsin in 2015, where I now live with my husband and our 3 kids, ranging from 5-15! We are also a foster family so you may see additional kids with us!  Pray for us as parents preparing many kiddos' hearts for the world.   We also have two pups that keep us busy! Most of my free time is spent cheering on my kids at their sporting events or music activities, diving into a good book, grabbing coffee at a local shop, or exploring somewhere new.
